This song (‘Deranger Les Pierres’ = “Disturbing The Stones’) is on Carla Bruni (or Mme Sarkozy as France’s first lady is also known) was written by a famous but pretty schlocky French singer popular in the 80’s called Julien Clerc. It’s gorgeous, well sung, and has echoes of the late Barbara (although Carla Bruni will never be the singer Barbara was). The record is called ‘Comme Si De Rien N’Etait’ (best approximation of this very French expression: ‘Pretending Nothing’s Wrong’).
