I love Japanese rock. One of my favorite bands of all times is Thee Michele Gun Elephant but they unfortunately have ceased to record as a band. But fear not, their bastard children are carrying on in the form of this new band called Electric Eel Shock (gotta love those names!). I found two records by them: ‘Beat Me - 2005) and the one featured here, ‘Electric Eel Shock Go Europe!’ (2004). The song is called ‘Rock’n’Roll Can Rescue The World’. Every song is good so it was hard to pick one but this one is a little mellower than the rest of the record. Lock on! (sorry for the poor taate of the joke but hey my best friend is Japanese American and I think he will snicker at it so there)
For those who like even heavier stuff but still with the Nippon touch, in the vein of Kyuss and other stoner rock sludgemeisters, check out High Rise.
