I love this band! But I only have (and can only find) one record: ‘Slingshot Echoes’. The band is Mezzanine Owls and this song is called ‘Graceless’. Recommended is you like: Stars Of Track And Field, Silversun Pickups, Smashing Pumpkins (their mellower side), or even Sonic Youth.

Nodding to such bands as Ride and the Jesus and Mary Chain, Los Angeles dream pop band Mezzanine Owls consist of vocalist/guitarist Jack Burnside, bassist Dan Horne, drummer Pauline Mu, and keyboardist/guitarist Jonathan Zeitlin. After most of the members had met via local ads, Mezzanine Owls were born. The debut album Slingshot Echoes was recorded in Athens, GA, with Andy LeMaster (Now It’s Overhead, Bright Eyes, Azure Ray) producing and was self-released in fall 2006, as the band steadily built up noteworthy buzz in the blogosphere.
