There are some great ones here. Who needs Cliff Notes???
Funny…and true. Too bad my livelihood depends on these networks ;-). Props to Amy Nadine for pointing this one to me.
Funny stuff, especially the little girl who reacts by kicking the bear in the nuts (towards the end).

This is a fascinating and well-documented article (if a bit long). I stopped reading/watching the mainstream press over a year ago out of a feeling that there were incredible discrepancies between what I felt was right and what I was reading in the “alternative” (read: blogs) press and what the major networks and newspapers were reporting. That gut feel was obviously right but...

Wow, this dude has too much time and too much hair! Cool concept though (thanks Kev for this find).

Mmmmmm…tasty! This seems to make a car I only could fault, and then again only very slightly, for a relative lack of power (for the weight) and sportiness (but it’s a luxury coupe after all) pretty much perfect.
You know my fascination with TED. This short presentation (4 minutes) is really disturbing. I had always wondered if press coverage in the US was dumbed down and focused on the US to a fault because that’s what the (mostly dumb uneducated) public demanded or because the mainstream press outlets were deciding on what their audience public should see and therefore causing them to become dumb...
Very cool "game"
Start by clicking here: http://n.nfshost.com. The first step is to change the URL above to: http://n.nfshost.com/1.html Then you’re on your own, just replace the “1” in the URL with the right characters based on the clue you are getting on your screen. I am currently stuck on step #14. Supposedly there are 23 steps. Thanks to Tobias for this time waster ;-). Cheaters can go...
Tumblr slang
samreich: Just some ideas. Reblog and add your own! The Tumblahs - Having nothing to post. Tumbladder - A term used to describe the frequency of one’s posts. (Example: “Jake posts all the time. He has a small Tumbladder.”) Tumblazed - Being stoned and browsing Tumblr. Tumbummed - That disappointing moment when you realize you’ve read everything on your dashboard. Tumbluff - Threatening to...

Adjustments to my bike commute: helmet (I know, I know, should have started there), backpack vs. messenger bag (which kept sliding off)…

I love these Cracked.com “Top x” lists! Typically the commentary is as funny as the picks and this one doesn’t disappoint. It would only have been better if they had had a native speaker pronounce these in their language so we could hear how they should sound (and learn how to pronounce them for our own usage ;-)).

Very cool marketing project
This site has a cool marketing project going on: http://www.brandtags.net/index.php 1) they show you a brand logo 2) you type in a word (or a few) that represents your first reaction to the brand 3) you can see a tag cloud of what people answered (click on the link at the top) Obviously this is biased by the type of people who have taken the “test” (mostly connected internauts like us)...

I love cars, and I love Ferrari’s but even if I had the dough I think this would be a little much for any car.
Beach was awesome though.
Had a terrible run: too hot, back kept seizing up (should have given it more than 3 days rest), slow.
The 10 best beer names ever →
There are some good ones…I bet the guy who wrote the article had fun doing the “research” (I should know, in 1997 I “researched” beers in Australia as part of an article for the now-defunct Charged.com online mag).
These people are scary.
Your life in 6 words
I saw an article somewhere that a website (or newspaper, can’t recall) was asking users to send in a description of their life using only words. I remember reading some amazing ones. Here’s mine: Often misguided, always adventurous, not over. What’s yours?
